Workshops

These one day events will offer a variety of projects using different techniques and materials to help children build a foundation and appreciation for art and creating, and most importantly, have fun! Children will have an opportunity to explore their creative expression and leave with a finished product they will be proud of! There will also be seasonally themed events and classes that take place throughout the year. Classes will vary throughout the year, so make sure to check back each month or follow us on Facebook to see what workshops we have coming up!

In these classes we will work on projects using a variety of different mediums, techniques and materials to make sure each week is fun and exciting! We may also explore themes and at times work on projects that require a couple of weeks to complete, building on the project in stages. Examples of this would be working with clay, art journaling, etc. This class gives children an opportunity to grow their art skills, discover their own unique style as an artist, and develop a greater love of art and creating, while also making friends and having fun in the process! These classes are for school aged children (ages 5-11), and will be held on Thursday nights from 4-6. This class is an ongoing class that is offered in three sessions throughout year; with a fall, winter and spring session. Each session consists of 10 classes and runs for about three months. The cost is $350 per session, and all supplies and materials are included in the fee. Dates for each session will be posted under the class listings section at the bottom of the page when registration for that session opens. Registration can be found under the registration tab if space is available in the class. If registration is unavailable on the website because the class is full, please call to determine availability and to be placed on the waiting list. Space is limited.

This class is an ongoing class that is offered in three sessions throughout year; with a fall, winter and spring session. Each session consists of 10 classes and runs for about three months. These classes are designed for preschool aged children and are geared for children ages 3-5, but all ages are welcome! These classes will typically consist of either a "process based" art activity or a "Story and Paint" class, which will be a spin off of an adult "Sip and Paint" where we will be reading a story and doing a painting or a project based on the story we read and enjoying juice boxes and a snack. A seasonally inspired sensory bin may also be provided during these classes for exploration. Children will be provided opportunities to create, explore and get messy... and the best part is, you can leave the clean up to me! 

These events are designed with the busy toddler in mind, and are geared for children ages 2-3. They will be similar to the preschool classes, but simplified even further for very small children, with activities that are even better suited to a younger age group and kept moving at a faster pace. Children will be provided opportunities to create, explore, get messy, and have fun!

These events will be offered periodically throughout the year on a Friday or Saturday evening. Parents can bring their child for a fun night of pizza, snacks, stories, games, and creating art while they enjoy a well deserved night out! There are many great spots right around the corner from the studio including Second Glass, Mariposa, Satellite Bar, Block Taco, and Benny's Big Time Pizzeria! These events usually run about 3 hours and projects/themes will vary each time. Check out our upcoming events list to see when the next Parents Night Out event is scheduled!

 For these events a variety of creative stations are set up for children to explore that will give them a chance to experiment with different materials and mediums designed to ignite their creativity. I will be there to help, guide and encourage them, but ultimately the process and outcome will be up to them and their own imaginations!  Parents can stay if they would like, or if your child is school aged you can drop them off and take some time for yourself to walk around and explore theArtWorks gallery, gift shop and working artists studios while your child is having fun! These events will vary throughout the year, but will mainly be held during the "Fourth Friday" Gallery Nights which take place on the fourth Friday of each month. Fourth Friday nights feature open artists studios, a beer and wine bar, and live music... so not only will your child be having fun creating, but parents will get to enjoy a fun night out as well! Small parties for birthdays and special events will be available for groups of up to 12 children. There are two different party packages available. The basic party package includes 2 hours of party time, all paper products and utensils, decorations, a guided themed project, all materials for the project, and take home favors for each child. The full package includes everything in the basic package as well as drinks, snacks and pizza. I can also customize food themed specifically for your party.
